Hepi Ferris-Bretherton is one of our new Associate Trustees dedicated to fostering youth development and leadership within his community. With whakapapa to Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Rongowhakaata, and Ngāti Porou, Hepi currently resides in Tokaanu and brings extensive experience in innovation and leadership to the Trust.

Hepi believes that his skills are crucial for the future of the Trust as it seeks to engage and inspire the next generation of leaders. He views his new role as an opportunity to develop governance skills while actively contributing to the Trust’s mission. Hepi is particularly inspired by the Trust’s focus on strategic planning, business acumen, and the promotion of tikanga Māori, which resonate deeply with his personal and professional values.

In addition to his role as Associate Trustee, Hepi serves as the Iwi rangatahi representative for the National Iwi Chairs Forum, further underscoring his commitment to youth engagement and leadership within the iwi on behalf of rangatahi. With his passion for empowering future leaders, Hepi is poised to make a meaningful impact in his role at the Trust.
